RBW Five-Year Limited Warranty
RBW’s limited, non-transferable warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials for a period of five (5) years from the date stated on the purchase invoice. This warranty also includes LED boards and LED drivers supplied by RBW provided that they are installed by a licensed professional according to RBW guidelines, product labeling, and installation instructions and further provided that such boards and drivers are used only for the application for which they were designed. RBW shall have the sole discretion to determine if a product contains a defect subject to this warranty and shall repair or replace any Product components or parts that RBW determines are defective in workmanship or materials. RBW reserves the right to determine in its sole discretion the most appropriate manner to fulfill this warranty. RBW reserves the right to utilize new, reconditioned, refurbished, repaired, or remanufactured products or parts in the warranty repair or replacement process. Such products and parts will be comparable in function and performance to an original product or part, as determined by RBW in its sole discretion, and shall be warranted for the remainder of the warranty period applicable to the original product.
Product Performance
Luminous flux: A reduction in luminous flux is normal as long as the relevant value does not fall below 0.6%/1000h burning hours. A luminous flux within that range is considered normal and not a defect. Due to technical progress and changes in the luminous flux of products that is caused by their use, subsequent deliveries of LED light sources may have light properties that differ from those of the original products
CCT: RBW warrants that the initial LED Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) at the time of shipment is within the parameters described in the RBW product specification sheet. If the product specification sheet specifies a certain Correlated Color Temperature only and not parameters, RBW warrants that the CCT will be within 10% of that CCT or within the range specified on the specification sheet at the time of shipment. RBW will not be responsible for any color shift in LED modules installed in RBW fixtures. Color changes or shifts in LED lighting are a natural consequence of LED lighting and shall not be considered a defect covered by this limited warranty.
Cost of removal and reinstallation
RBW will NOT under any circumstances provide reimbursement or pay any chargeback or cost for labor or other costs incurred for removal and reinstallation. This warranty shall expire immediately if the purchaser or a third party changes or performs any repair work on the products without RBW’s prior written consent or if the product is installed inappropriately or incorrectly or by a non-qualified, unlicensed professional.
LED products must be installed in applications where ambient temperatures are within the range of specified operating temperatures and are operated within the electrical values shown on the LED driver.
Limited Liability for Damages
RBW shall not be liable for any damages, including but not limited to incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages (even if RBW has been advised of the possibility of such damages and notwithstanding the failure of essential purpose of any limited remedy), or for the breach of any warranty, express or implied, whether of merchantability or fitness for any purpose or otherwise, any implied warranties arising from a course of dealing or course of performance, or for any other obligation or liability on account of the products covered by this agreement, all of which warranties are expressly disclaimed. Except as expressly herein stated, RBW does not make, and hereby specifically disclaims, any representations or warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, any implied warranties arising from a course of dealing or course of performance.
Warranty Provisions Are Exclusive And Non-Transferable
The foregoing warranty provisions are exclusive and non-transferable to any third party and are given and accepted in lieu of any and all other warranties, whether express or implied, including without limitation any warranty against infringement and any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. In no event shall RBW be liable for incidental, compensatory, consequential, indirect, special, or other damages arising from the purchase, resale, use, or disposal of any product, whether the claim arises under tort law, strict liability, principles of equity, or contract. RBW's aggregate liability with respect to a defective product shall, in any event, be limited to the purchase price of that defective product.
This warranty is effective for purchases of Products on or after the effective date set forth below. RBW reserves the right to modify this warranty from time to time. Any modification of this warranty shall be effective for all orders placed with RBW on or after the effective date of such revised warranty.
What does the RBW Warranty NOT Cover?
- Any 3rd party costs such as Labor costs to install or reinstall
- Shipping costs related to RBW’s right to inspect and repair in the event of the damage not covered.
Additionally, RBW is not responsible for damage, malfunctions, or underperformance resulting from:
- Failure to follow instructions
- Problems with the customer’s electrical power resulting from any voltage emanating from outside of the fixture or RBW product in excess of the rated voltage or the proper ESD (electrostatic discharge) procedures are not followed before handling the LED board.
- Damage to finishes caused by improper cleaning, maintenance, or exposure to weather or other corrosive elements.
- Normal wear and tear or deterioration, or superficial defects, dents, or marks that do not impact performance
- Fading or damaged surfaces caused by heat or cleaning products.
- Natural variations in texture and color of materials.
- Normal wear and tear, as well as weather-related damage.
- Fire, flood, wind, lightning, earthquake, weather, or other acts of nature or God;
- Concealed damage reported after 30 days of shipment
- Incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages.
