Henry Julier

Interior, architectural and environmental designer

Henry Julier is a New York-based industrial designer specializing in product, furniture, lighting, and exhibit design for global clients. He defines industrial design as design for industry — a discipline that balances human needs with the realities of mass production. A meticulous systems thinker with a deep knowledge of design history, Henry sees design as a versatile problem-solving tool, whether crafting a watering can for Areaware or developing a large-scale exhibit for MillerKnoll. Most recently, Henry served as Industrial Design Director at Standard Issue, a multidisciplinary design studio in Brooklyn, where he worked for over 12 years. His concurrent, independent practice has produced successful product collaborations with Areaware, Bestcase, Design Within Reach, From The Bay, Matter-Made, Tetra, and RBW.
