Sequencer

Developed in collaboration with MSDS Studio, Sequencer is a modular lighting platform that scales from single fixtures to expansive installations, adapting to architecture through size and configuration. Diffused glass softens illumination, replacing directional light with a more ambient, atmospheric glow. Repeated geometric forms create rhythm, order, and a strong graphic presence.

System for Space

More than a collection, Sequencer is a modular lighting system that scales from single fixtures to expansive installations. Multiple sizes and configurations allow it to respond directly to architecture and interiors.

Diffusion and Direction

Illuminate your space without hard shadows. Sequencer’s diffused glass, in both open and closed globes, replaces directional downlighting, creating a softer, atmospheric experience. Its geometry repeats to form larger compositions, establishing rhythm, order, and a strong graphic identity at scale.

MSDS Studio

MSDS Studio is a Toronto-based design practice led by Jessica Nakanishi and Jonathan Sabine. Their work engages contemporary culture while adhering to the enduring principles of good design and craftsmanship—synthesizing material, form, and space into clear, resolved outcomes across interiors, furniture, and lighting. Working collaboratively and iteratively, MSDS remains closely involved throughout development, partnering with manufacturers and fabricators to realize thoughtful, well-executed work. RBW | Spring Partner Dinner

On March 30, the RBW leadership team gathered with tastemakers in the New York design community for an evening of cocktails and a private dinner. It was a privilege to host this event at our 85F Tribeca Showroom. The night centered around a shared table and a seasonal menu prepared by Chef Arley Marks. One course was created in partnership with the Kingston YMCA Farm Project, an urban farm that supports youth through food education, environmental stewardship, and community engagement. The evening reflected a shared commitment to care, craft, and connection. A moment shaped by good food, thoughtful conversation, and the people who continue to make this community what it is. Thank you to everyone who joined us.

RBW | Asian Lighting Community

We had a great time hosting an event with ALC to celebrate the Year of the Horse at our 85F Tribeca Showroom. It was a great evening of connection, culture, and community, with festive energy and meaningful conversations with peers across the lighting and design community. Thank you to everyone who joined us! Adding new stories of gathering and celebration to this space is part of why we built this new home for design and collaboration at 85 Franklin. It was such a privilege to host this Lunar New Year, with many more experiences planned for 2026. Stop by and see how we use the power of light to create atmosphere today.
