Dimple

Originally designed in collaboration with Sister City for a custom fixture version featuring clear glass and a white-painted interior, Dimple is a compact and dimmable, flush-mounted sconce that casts a diffuse and soft, atmospheric light. Made from solid-cast glass and an anodized aluminum backing, Dimple is cheekily named for the thick, domed circular diffuser embedded into its front face. This unique feature renders its LED source into a soft, atmospheric glow that emanates an orb-like, optical pattern. The iconic Dimple collection has welcomed a new sibling—Dimple Dash. With its elongated form and glowing glass domes, this fresh addition expands the icon's legacy while carving out its own distinctive place.

Understated Warmth

Originally designed to complement the minimalist interiors of Manhattan’s Sister City hotel, Dimple’s simple silhouette consists of a solid glass lens against an anodized aluminum backing. The unique domed surface casts light in glowing, orb-like patterns.

Dash of Charm

Playful yet precise, Dimple Dash blends soft, curved geometry with a streamlined profile. It brings warmth, character, and just the right amount of movement to your space—functional design with undeniable personality.

The final form for the Dimple is almost as if you took a sphere and pushed it into the face of a plane. It was a pleasant surprise to see how that plays with the light coming through it.

RBW | Asian Lighting Community

We had a great time hosting an event with ALC to celebrate the Year of the Horse at our 85F Tribeca Showroom. It was a great evening of connection, culture, and community, with festive energy and meaningful conversations with peers across the lighting and design community. Thank you to everyone who joined us! Adding new stories of gathering and celebration to this space is part of why we built this new home for design and collaboration at 85 Franklin. It was such a privilege to host this Lunar New Year, with many more experiences planned for 2026. Stop by and see how we use the power of light to create atmosphere today.

RBW Team Holiday Party 2025

The end of the year is a time to reflect on a year of growth, collaboration, and hard work. This year we met at Eng’s in Kingston. The rare opportunity to sit together and take stock. We looked around the table and saw the team behind the work. RBW exists because these people care deeply about what they make and who they make it with. We believe in the power of light to create atmosphere — and this is the team behind it — and this is the team that brings that vision to life.

Shop Talk with Neil Logan & Roseanna Smith Vol. 13

Neil Logan brought clarity to 85 Franklin: keep what works, highlight the charm, don’t mess it up. Our collaboration with him has grown from Industry City to Kingston, and this project felt like the natural next step. Alongside Neil, project manager Roseanna Smith helped shape the vision and strategy, guiding the space to tell RBW’s story of evolution and what comes next. We caught up with Neil to talk about the design approach behind 85 Franklin, the art of doing less, and how to show off lighting without trying too hard.
