2023 B Corp Month

RBW

Every March, the global community of Certified B Corporations comes together to celebrate our commitment to using business as a force for good. As a B Corp, we recognize the power of business to create lasting change, and work to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. B Corp Month is a time to recognize the growing movement of businesses that prioritize social and environmental impact alongside profit, and celebrate the positive impact we are making in our communities and around the world.

We are kicking off this year's celebration with an exciting announcement: We have converted RBW Factory to 100% green energy!

Going green was an obvious choice. We're thrilled to have RBW running on sustainable wind power with Hudson Energy.

We're eager to participate in initiatives that have a positive impact on our local community. Recently we had the opportunity to take part in community efforts with a contribution to the Kingston YMCA Farm Project!

The Kingston YMCA Farm Project provides greater food access and learning opportunities with their food production, farm-based education, youth employment, and winter cooking programs. Through urban farming and local outreach, the Farm Project has become a hub for community connectivity and engagement.

We are so grateful that RBW recognizes the power and importance of this program.

Organic waste comprises an estimated 20-40% of the solid waste stream that ends up in landfills. Organic matter breaks down slowly in landfills due to limited oxygen, contributing to methane gas production. Through making a small change like composting, we not only produce enriching fertilizer for our plants around the factory, but we also reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Composting our kitchen scraps helps divert waste from landfills and provides nutrient rich soil we can use for plants around the Factory. It's a win-win!

RBW Team Holiday Party 2024

The end of the year is a time to reflect on a year of growth, collaboration, and hard work. In December 2024, we brought the team together at Chleo’s in Kingston for our annual holiday gathering. Over great food and lively conversation, we celebrated the achievements of the year and the people who made them possible. At RBW, we believe in the power of light to create atmosphere — and this is the team behind it.—and this is the team that brings that vision to life.

RESONANCE | An Exploration of Sound & Surface

Embracing acoustic design, RESONANCE: An Exploration of Sound & Surface presented Spool, a collection that seamlessly intertwines sound and illumination. Through a blend of visual elegance and auditory performance, Spool transforms spaces with a refined simplicity. At this immersive unveiling, guests explored the collection through an auralization: an interactive exhibit where Spool’s dynamic, sculptural presence crafted an environment that was both intriguing and innovative, showcasing a new approach to design.
